Artistic Director Brad Phillips

Brad Phillips

BRAD PHILLIPS was born and raised in Saline, MI. He graduated from The University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance in 2007 with a degree in Jazz & Contemporary Improvisation and is an alumnus of the original Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic, graduating from Saline High School in 2003.

Brad is a well-sought-after fiddler, mandolinist, and guitarist in the vibrant Michigan music scene, playing with bands and artists such as Millish, Seth & May, and Brian Vander Ark. He also appears regularly with Michigan's own Emmy Award-winning actor-singer-songwriter Jeff Daniels in his Live & Unplugged concerts and is featured on Jeff's latest CD release entitled "Keep It Right Here." He is also on faculty at the Mark O'Connor strings camp at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

A producer, composer, arranger, teacher and lover of all things music, Brad has toured the world, performing all across the United States to Ireland, Germany and the Czech Republic. He is driven by a passion to share the joy he has found in music with young players at home and abroad, and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the program that was his original inspiration for a life in music.
